Supporting our Local Producers

The Aga shop Wilmslow was the place to be on the 27th September, as the Aga Local Life campaign came to town. We had no shortage of top quality foods from our various local producers, showing that we indeed have a huge range of delicious produce available on our doorstep!

Our demonstrator, Phyl Lomas did us proud, by cooking throughout the day - never seeming to tire! Her menu included some truley inspirational dishes such as parsnip, apple and sage soup; crunchy pistachio drumsticks and cream pear crumble tart. As one could expect, Phyl used a variety of ingredients from our local producers - which provided much culinary inspiration for her and our visitors.

Gaynor and Janet, from innovative company Design a Sausage, showed off their sausage making skills and cooked the tasty results in our Aga. We also had a great KMix demonstration which really showed our visitors just what this great range of kitchen electricals can do! A number of our partner producers including Northern Harvest, Clippy's Apples and Island Cuisine set up attractive in-store stalls and kept our guests entertained with samples, information and discussions about their tasty produce.

Meet the Team

The Manager - Hilary
Hilary has worked for Aga for over 6 years, starting as Aga Studio Manager at the joint premises with Fired Earth at Ollerton, Knutsford. After a short time she went 'on the road' for 2 years as a Relief Manager assisting at other Aga shops for anything from one day to several months, from Aberdeen in the north to Salisbury in the south. She thoroughly enjoyed this role, meeting many of the lovely staff that work for Aga on the retail side. Hilary also manned the Aga exhibition trailer at shows and exhibitions during the summer months which was fun but exhausting...as she says: ''I'm not as young as I was!''

After 6 months as Manager of the Aga shop in Chester, she took on the role of Shop Manager here in Wilmslow where she has now been for nearly 3 years. She thoroughly enjoys the job which is very varied and no two days are ever the same. We have lots of lovely customers, many of whom we get to know very well.  

The Team

Sue, an Aga owner for many years, has worked at the shop for almost 2 years, where her very friendly approach and adaptability has made her a hit with our customers!We have recently taken on 2 new members of staff, Hannah and Katrina, both lovely ladies who are currently on a steep learning curve but are showing great enthusiasm and who, we are sure will be a great asset to Aga

Aga Demonstrations and Events

We have a full and varied demonstration program throughout the year, utilising the skill and knowledge of many of our excellent Aga demonstrators, who bring their own style to the proceedings!  The demonstrations are held both during the day (weekdays and Saturdays) and in the evening, which we hope will meet the differing needs of our customers.  From the introductory 'Day in the Life of an Aga' class, to our themed demonstrations - there is something to suit your Aga cookery needs! One-To Ones

Should you be unable to attend a demonstration or would prefer a more personal approach, you could book a One -to -One demonstration with a member of our team.  We will take the Aga through its paces cooking a selection of dishes to show the versatility of the Aga and how it could fit into your life.
